A hypothesis about the strange Left-Islamist alliance — both of them marching together to support Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Ayatollahs, and both hostile to USA, Israel, the West more broadly.

Drawing upon two perceptive analysts, Friedrich Nietzsche and John Stuart Mill:
* Nietzsche in 1887: “the truly great haters in world history have always been priests.”
* Mill in 1879: “the animating principle of too many of the revolutionary socialists is hate.”
Hatred is the common demonimator. To update from then to now, for the type of “priests” Nietzsche had in mind, substitute today’s jihadi mindset coming out of politicized Islam. And for the “revolutionary socialists” Mill had in mind, substitute today’s woke-Antifa mindset coming out of poisoned academia.
So a psychological explanation for the odd activist alliance. Islamists and Wokists despise each other’s official beliefs, but their emotional set is the same, which unites them against the hated enemy.
