Speaking of post-postmodern Art. There’s a new reality show on the Bravo network, called Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. I decided to watch it to see contemporary art, at its worse. I have never been a fan of modern art. I find it to be devoid of any depth. Any 2 year old can do the type of “art” they present. Watching this show made me gag! The contestants are products of our culture. Which is sad. The subjectivism runs deep. There’s nothing life affirming about it. Take a look at the first episode. It started last Monday.
Thanks for the recommendation, Scherie — though your description is likely to scare me off from watching it. A whole series on the postmoderns … ?
