Alexander Dugin is the most well-known philosopher in Russia. New to my Texts in Philosophy page, for use in my courses, is this translation of Dugin’s 1997 article “Fascism—Borderless and Red”. His influence upon Vladimir Putin and Putin’s inner circle is real but its degree is debated by experts on current Russian politics.
Dugin was founder of the National Bolshevik Party in the 1990s. The image at right is of his party’s protesters in action in 1995. It says much.

My quick summary: Dugin’s ideas are straight out of 1920s Italy and Germany and transplanted to 2020s Russia, and Dugin would like to be for Putin what Nietzsche was for Mussolini and Hitler. Related: Nietzsche and the Nazis:

You are correct on the Aleksandr Dugin theory (Caught the Glen Beck interview May 1, 2o24 great presentation and presence of being). Dugin must have gained a perspective from the Old Testament (KJV mine- Yours your call) as this was a theme practiced throughout the entire scriptures (OT) and also a common in the NT toward the Crucifixion echoed in ‘We cannot allow Him’ to ‘Let Him be and see if He is able’ as in:
“Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.” John 11: -50
“Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.” Jeremiah 6
These, as did Korah (rebuke of Moses), played the temptation before God (as also satan on the mount Cast yourself down), as in “We will see what you will do.”. Today, the ‘church’ doing the same- robbing the poor, thus robbing God (Malachi 3:8-14, and the method of the poor to gain rewards ‘Secret’ in Matthew 6:1-4), to rob the poor is to rob God, God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the Universe and all Creation, but God placed in the hands of Ministers to honor the poor, the poor have great faith, and then the church began to wash their hands of the poor instead of their feet, keeping the Old Pathway for them to walk therein. “We will not hearken nor obey!”. Say they.
