For every Soros there is an equal and opposite Koch

Okay, so Soros is spending millions of his billions on left-leaning causes. And the Kochs are spending millions of theirs on right-leaning causes.

Can we please accept:
1. The principle that people can spend their money on whatever they want,
2. That people can think for themselves, even if rich guys try to influence them, and
3. The data that show money does not buy elections, anyway?

“The data that show money does not buy elections, anyway?”
This is ludicrous even for a Heartland policy advisor. If it hasn’t yet been removed as a result of one of Rockford’s Koch Grants, please go down to your library and pick up a copy of Thomas Ferguson’s book Golden Rule. Ferguson shows that the outcome of elections can with very few exceptions be predicted by the simple variable of campaign spending.

  2. Hi Edward: Your brief response contains sarcasm, two ad hominems, and an accusation of possible censorship. More helpful would be addressing the argument.
