Excellent choice of quotes! Manchester’s book was my introduction to the, not well known, truly dark side of the Catholic Church/Vatican. I first read these quotes above about Pope Borgia’s orgy lifestyle in the 90s. Since then I’ve done a lot of research on this topic. I just finished one of the best books I’ve read on the totalitarian history of this organization and one of it’s associated organizations. It’s called “Fourteen Years a Jesuit” by Paul von Hoensbroech. I highly recommend it. By the way, Pope Alexander VI/Rodrigo Borgia’s great grandson was the third Jesuit General — *Francis* Borgia — and he helped Loyola create the Jesuit Order. Among other things, Francis Borgia appealed to the Pope who created the Jesuit Order Pope Paul III/Allesandro Farnese. This Farnese Pope had been made a cardinal many year earlier by Pope Rodrigo Borgia, whose mistress was Farnese’s sister Giulia Farnese.
