Jesus and transgenderism

Without comment, I offer this excerpt from the Gospel of Thomas (114):

Simon Peter said to Jesus, “Make Mary leave us, for females don’t deserve life.”

Jesus said, “Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every female who makes herself male will enter the kingdom of Heaven.”

Genesis 1:27 on God’s creating humans: “male and female He created them.”

Revelation 14:3-4 on who goes to Heaven: “the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins.”

  1. A timely reminder, given the Jordan Peterson post the other day. Since gay marriage, rape and robot sex are enunciated topics both on this site and other outlets for pro-reason, pro-liberty thought, I’ve been watching to see what facts and reasoning this coalition will develop about transgenderism. The debate will clearly have feet in the domains of technology, happiness and the exercise of free will.

Dr. Hicks, I hope that you can elaborate on more connections to other ethical debates, perhaps contentious in their time, that offer insight here.
