Dear professor. I read your book – explaining postmodernism in Farsi (Persian) translation. It is a excellent book and a healing for us (Iranian intellectuals) for awaking from postmodern dogmatism. But I think it is necessary to share with you some things about that. first, when you say that in west, especially in the nineteenth century , people become rich and happy, you ignore that this is partly due to the colonialism. Second . when you talk about Lenin theory – oppressed nations. you say that in this countries didn’t take place revolution. I think this is a mistake. For example, in Iran, in 1950, democratic movement was crashed and America had central role in this affair.

When I read your book, I feel you are close to Habermas. Of course he is left. but why you didn’t mention to him and his theory about unfinished project of enlightment. Thanks. forgive me for bad writing in English.

    Shapour behyan.
