Brian Medlin in *Explaining Postmodernism*

In 1957 — the decade during which the first generation of postmodern thinkers was arising — philosopher Brian Medlin claimed:

“It is now pretty generally accepted by professional philosophers that ultimate ethical principles must be arbitrary.”
